The data is only stored for as long as necessary to fulfill the above-mentioned purposes or as required by legal retention periods.

Your data protection rights

The treatment of your data is carried out in accordance with the European General Data Protection Regulation („GDPR“). This regulation grants you as a private individual extensive rights regarding the collection and processing of your personal data. These rights include: Right to information, right to erasure, right to rectification, right to restriction of processing, right to data portability, right to object.

The responsible party is the natural or legal person who decides on the purposes and means of processing personal data (e.g. names, email addresses, etc.).

How is your data collected?

Your data is collected on the one hand by you providing it to me. This can be, for example, data that you send to me by email.

Other data is automatically collected by my IT systems when you visit the website. This is mainly technical data (e.g. internet browser, operating system, or time of page access). This data is collected automatically as soon as you enter my website.

What do I use your data for?

Unless a different storage period is specified in this privacy policy, your personal data will be stored by me for as long as required by the processing purpose. Should you submit a legitimate request for deletion or withdraw your consent to data processing, your data will be deleted unless there are legally permissible reasons that necessitate further storage of your personal data, such as legal retention obligations for tax purposes. In such cases, your data will be deleted after these reasons no longer apply.

Data security

I take the protection of your personal data very seriously. I treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with legal data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

My website uses many technical measures for the secure transmission and storage of all collected data and to protect it against manipulation or unauthorized access. Any data transfer between your device and this website takes place using SSL encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the lock symbol in your browser’s address bar.

When you use this website, various personal data is collected. Personal data is data that can be used to personally identify you. This privacy policy explains what data I collect and what I use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this happens.

I would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. when communicating via email) may have security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Revocation of your consent to data processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke any consent already given at any time. An informal email to me is sufficient for this purpose. The legality of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Communication via WhatsApp

To enable quick communication with my customers and other parties, I use, among other things, the instant messaging service WhatsApp. WhatsApp Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland, is the provider of this service.

Communication takes place via end-to-end encryption (peer-to-peer), which means that neither WhatsApp nor other third parties can access the content of the communication. However, WhatsApp has access to metadata generated during the communication process, such as sender, recipient, and timestamp.

The corresponding communication content sent via WhatsApp remains stored with me until you request deletion, revoke your consent for storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g., after completing the processing of your request). Please note, however, that mandatory legal provisions, particularly retention periods, remain unaffected.

It is important to mention that, according to its own statements, WhatsApp shares personal data of its users with its parent company Meta, which is based in the USA. Further information on data processing can be found in WhatsApp’s privacy policy.
